Botox® is a purified protein that has a variety of FDA approved indications for non-surgical anti-aging.
Botox® has been used in medicine since the late 1970s and was initially used to treat blepharospasm or eyelid twitching.
Botox® gained cosmetic popularity and was FDA approved for forehead wrinkle reduction in the mid 1990s. Over the past several years, there have been other toxins available and approved for wrinkle reduction, as well. Dysport®, Xeomin® and Jeuveau® are among a few of the others. Toxins typically have an effect for 3-6 months.

How Does Botox® Work?
Botox® cosmetic works by blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles. The result is that the muscles relax and the skin smooths out. The results are temporary and may last three to six months.
What Can Be Expected?
Our experts will inject a specific amount of Botox® into the precise muscles being treated. A very fine needle is used and results take any where from three to fourteen days to achieve a desired result. Amounts of Botox® vary from patient to patient. Placement is key in order to achieve a natural and beautiful result.
