Sclerotherapy is a procedure to permanently remove spider veins in the legs. They injected a sclerosing agent into the vessels with a small needle.

The agent is responsible for agitating the endothelium, the inner wall of the vessel, causing it to collapse. The result is the disappearance of the spider vein. They’re a few different sclerosing agents that can be used.

We use Asclera, which is the only FDA approved product on the market. Typically, 3-6 sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.
